Emerging featherweight contender, Mairon Santos has landed the most high-profile win of his naive Octagon career to date, turning in a unanimous decision success over Sodiq Yusuff in the pair’s impromptu co-main event clash at UFC Vegas 106 tonight.
Santos, an alum of The Ultimate Fighter, has now extended his UFC winning spree-proper to three consecutive fights with tonight’s triumph over Yusuff.
Initially set to feature in a main card clash, Santos’ return against Yusuff was promoted to a co-main event bracket, after initial feature, Rodolfo Bellato was forced from his clash with Paul Craig on just minutes notice tonight.
But landing a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) victory tonight over Yusuff, Santos has not beaten both Kaan Ofli, and Francis Marshall to go with his success tonight at the Apex facility.
