Why the White House Event Outshines UFC’s Greatest Moments — Bigger Than 100, 200, 300, the Sphere According to UFC Icon

Michael Chandler thinks the UFC’s anticipated White House invasion will trump every other event, no pun intended.

Ever since U.S. President Donald Trump insisted that he would host a Fight Night card on the White House lawn in 2026, fighters have been falling all over themselves to try to secure a spot on what’s already being tapped as the biggest show in Ultimate Fighting Championship history.

“The UFC is the premier combat sports organization on the planet,” Chandler told TMZ Sports. “You want to talk about big shows: UFC 100, 200, 300, the Sphere… but the White House is head and shoulders above every single one of those.”

Michael Chandler wants to fight McGregor at the White House

Of course, Chandler had to shoot his shot while on the subject, calling for his on-again, off-again clash with Conor McGregor to headline the event at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

“It’s definitely the fight that I want,” Chandler said. “That’s the fight everyone knows I want. I have said publicly that’s the fight I want, but I’m also the guy who’s not gonna wait for that fight. As you can see by me fighting Charles [Oliveira] and then Paddy [Pimblett], two fights in five months.”

Whether or not the UFC can even get clearance for McGregor to compete at the White House remains to be seen, but if Dana White’s recent comments about Jon Jones are any indicator, ‘The Notorious’ may be watching this one from his living room.
