UFC 315 will unsurprisingly will have a French flare.
On what will be the promotion’s first event at Bell Centre in Montreal in over a decade, a woman’s bantamweight fight has been added to the lineup. Texas’ Hailey Cowan and France’s Nora Cornolle will square off in a bantamweight bout at the May 10 event.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the targeted booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Cowan (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) aims to return from a near-two-year layoff that included multiple injuries. Cowan has been on the UFC roster since mid-2022 but has only competed once since then – when she lost a unanimous decision to Jamey-Lyn Horth in April 2023.
Cornolle (8-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) looks to bounce back from a split decision loss to Jacqueline Cavalcanti in September. The defeat was her first in the UFC, after back-to-back wins over Joselyne Edwards and Melissa Mullins to kick off her promotional tenure.
With the addition, the UFC 315 lineup includes:
- Bekzat Almakhan vs. Brad Katona
- Hailey Cowan vs. Nora Cornolle
