Patricio Pitbull is seemingly an after-thought in the wake of all the drama in the stacked UFC 314 card. That features high drama as the very controversial Bryce Mitchell fires back at the MMA media as a whole, all while preparing to face a demon in the ring, that being the eccentric and ferocious finisher in Jean Silva. Not just that, but the sudden and explosive argument that broke out at the UFC 314 press conference between Yair Rodriguez and Diego Lopes. Two men who are not even facing one another in Miami.
This leaves the former two-division Bellator champion seemingly by the wayside as the media and fans ignore him for the much more interesting narratives that are being actively spun before UFC 314. However, this would be unwise for fans, especially his opponent, the former interim featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez, to do.
Patricio Pitbull has shown all the qualities of being a world championship level fighter outside of the UFC. Back when Bellato was still in its prime and making its own top talent, such as Eddie Alvarez and Douglas Lima. Patricio Pitbull was a dominant force that showed incredible knockout power, high-level Jiu-Jitsu, a good fight IQ, and incredible athleticism and strength that put him at the top of the Bellator rankings, not just at Featherweight but at Lightweight. Patricio Pitbull even made quick work of former lightweight champion Michael Chandler and captured the Bellator Lightweight strap.

A Patricio Pitbull win continues the trend of Bellator fighters vindicating themselves.
Bellator fighters and even PFL fighters have taken a lot of flack from the MMA world as second-tier fighters simply because they don’t fight in the UFC. This is a product of the UFC’s effective marketing and the fight fans tending to be fickle people, which is simply a product of sports culture in the modern era.
However, some Bellator fighters have found excellent success in the UFC, such as Eddie Alvarez, Alexnder Volkov, Hector Lombard, Michael Venom Page, and even Michael Chandler. All of them have fought in the top 10 of each division at minimum. With some challenges for titles and some winning UFC gold. So, Patricio Pitbull would win against a former interim champion in Yair Rodriguez, especially at 37. This would be a great way to tell the world that Patricio Pitbull has always been a top don whether in or out of the UFC
