Jaron Ennis forced Eimantas Stanionis to retire on his stool to unify the WBA, IBF, and Ring Magazine world titles.
“Boots” took it to Stanionis with blows to the head and body with fast combinations and sharp jabs throughout. Enniis switched between orthodox and southpaw stances, fighting Stanionis at range and in close and dominating in both instances.

To his credit, Stanionis found some success, countering Ennis with the left hook in the first two rounds, as well as during a moment in the fifth round when Ennis was hit by multiple straight punches. However, Stanionis was out-gunned by Ennis in every single round.
Even in Stanionis’ most successful round, the fifth, Ennis had a dominant final 40 seconds, forcing Stanionis onto the ropes while unleashing a flurry of strikes.

In the sixth, Ennis hurt Stanionis with a vicious blow to the body that had him backing up with less than a minute to go. Ennis punished the Lithuanian with four successive left uppercuts to Stanionis’ midsection, which forced him to take a knee.
While Stanionis made it out of the round, his trainer Marvin Somodio confirmed to referee David Fields that his fighter would not get off the stool for round seven.

Official Result: Jaron Ennis def. Eimantas Stanionis via TKO (retirement) at 3:00 of Round 6.
