On Saturday, April 26th, Marek Mazuch will lock horns with Piotr Wawrzyniak in the center of the KV Arena in Karlovy Vary. OktagonMMA have been attempting to match these two Middleweights up since November. 3rd time is the charm, as the fight will finally take place in the opening round of the Tipsport Gamechanger Middleweight Tournament at Oktagon 70.

Hailing from Slovakia, Marek Mazuch is riding a 3-fight win streak, with all wins coming by way of devastating knockout. Marek Mazuch doesn’t just win with a TKO, he puts people’s lights out. Mazuch is a former soldier, who was training MMA in his free time but decided to become a full-time mixed martial artist in 2022, and hasn’t looked back since. His fan-friendly style helped him earn a place in the Tipsport Gamechanger Middleweight Tournament, and he now has a chance at earning a life-changing sum of money. With wins over Jaime Cordero, David Zawada, and even Leandro Silva in a boxing match, has earned him quite the reputation.

Piotr Wawrzyniak

Fighting out of Poznan, Poland, Piotr Wawrzyniak is looking to regain his Middleweight crown. After losing his title to Patrik Kincl in March of 2024, Wawrzyniak returned with a split-decision victory over UFC Veteran Andreas Michailidis. Wawrzyniak also has dynamite in his fists. With 8 of his 13 wins coming by way of KO. The amount of nuclear power between the pair of fighters could destroy an entire country. Wawrzyniak won his Middleweight crown against fellow Tipsport Gamechanger contestant, Vlasto Čepo, who will also be fighting on Oktagon 70.
