Following Oktagon 70, the draw for the next round of the Tipsport Gamechanger Middleweight Tournament was made. One of the matchups was Mick Stanton v Kerim Engizek. The former Cage Warriors Champion, Stanton, walked over and immediately picked to face the Oktagon MMA Middleweight Champion.

Mick Stanton
When Engizek’s manager (Engizek was not present at the draw), pulled the #1 card, and Stanton pulled the #2, it became obvious who Stanton was going to pick. Stanton walked right over to Engizek, and that fight was matched. When asked about the choice, Stanton said that he wants to beat the best and take out the Champion. He also voiced his displeasure that Engizek had sent his manager and didn’t show up himself. Stanton won his opening round fight against Milos Petrasek and will now look to take out the Champ in his quest for the final.
Kerim Engizek
After winning the title in October, Kerim Engizek was put into the Tipsport Gamechanger Middleweight Tournament. While his title won’t be on the line, he will certainly be fighting like a Champion. Kerim Engizek won his opening round fight against Kamil Onisczuk, Kerim now faces the “Huyton Hammer”. The heavy hitter will be looking to make quick work of Stanton, and progress into the Semi-Final. While he isn’t the Tournament favorite, he is the Champion, and you cannot count him out.
