Following a takedown and scramble, Velickovic suddenly tapped, and it was revealed that he had torn his hamstring.

A sad way for a great career to end. The UFC Veteran will go down as a legend on the European scene. After over a year out of the cage, his return was highly anticipated but short-lived. Bojan Velickovic remained in the cage and gave a heartfelt speech to the crowd in Prague. He thanked them for the memories and made sure they showed plenty of love to Paradeiser. Velickovic refused to use a stretcher and walked out of the arena with his arms around the shoulders of his trainers.

Bojan Velickovic still decided to partake in the Post-Fight Press Conference, before going to the Hospital.B ojan Velickovic revealed that he had a serious tear, but it didn’t dampen his spirits. He expressed his gratitude to the OktagonMMA team, the fans, and once again gave a special thanks to Rony Paradeiser. He explained how he was a big fan of Paradeiser, and it was a privilege to fight him.

What is next for Paradeiser? Well, he finds himself in a tricky position. After defeating Velickovic, he has moved up to the #1 contender position, but who is the Champion? His best friend and training partner is Ion Surdu. Oktagon finds itself in a tricky spot, with two of its biggest fan favorites at the top of the division. Not so different to the situation in the UFC Bantamweight division a few years ago, with Merab Dvalishvilli and Aljamain Sterling. Surdu has already shown interest in moving up to Middleweight, as seen by his participation in the Tipsport Gamechanger Tournament.

Will we see the pair of Welterweights put aside their friendship and go to war for fans, or stick together and maybe see Surdu vacate his title?
