Paddy Pimblett vows to 'Disfigure' Ilia Topuria after huge UFC 317 title win: 'I hate him'

Joining newly-minted lightweight champion, Ilia Topuria in the Octagon overnight at UFC 317, polarizing star, Paddy Pimblett has boldly vowed to become the first to beat the Spaniard in combat sports — issuing a stark warning, too.

Pimblett, who was sitting cageside overnight in Las Vegas, watched on as long-time foe, Topuria crowned himself as lightweight champion — adding to prior featherweight spoils won at the beginning of last year.

And invited into the Octagon for a staredown with Topuria by long-time color-commentator, Joe Rogan following the conclusion of the UFC 317 headliner, Pimblett took his chance.

Engaging in an expletive-filled war of words with the Spanish knockout ace, Pimblett was shoved by the new champion, with security officials then separating the duo.

Maintaining his willingess to fight the 17-0 knockout punisher next, Pimblett will attempt to bring an end to a stunning recent run of Topuria, which has seen him knock out both Alexander Volkanovski, and Max Holloway, and overnight, Brazilian fan-favorite, Charles Oliveira.

Confident of doing so, speaking with the post-fight team for ESPN, Paddy Pimblett claimed he would not only beat Topuria in their anticipated grudge pairing, but vowed to “disfigure” the lightweight puncher.

I hate him (Ilia Topuria),” Paddy Pimblett told during his interview. “I wouldn’t even want to finish him fast. I want to finish him with a minute left in the fight after I’ve elbowed him 700 times. I want to disfigure him.”

And while UFC CEO, Dana White was less than pleased with the unauthorized decision to allow Pimblett face off with Topuria overnight, the new champion is all ears to a grudge match next.

Himself claiming he would love the chance to settle their longstanding rivarly, Topuria even admitted he would take pleasure in knocking out the Huyton grappler if they ever share the Octagon.
