Michael Chandler appears to be truly done with the idea of facing off against Conor McGregor. As stated in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the former Bellator Lightweight champion reveals that he is no longer waiting for the former UFC double champion.
“does he fight again? I don’t know. But I can tell you this: I’m not necessarily waiting. I’m not waiting for him, as you can see.”
“I’d like to see him come back. I think the UFC would like to see him come back. I think the combat sports world would like to see him come back. I do think he doesn’t want to end his career back in… July of 2021, when he broke his leg.”
After being subjected to much humiliation by McGregor, due to being continuously led on by him for more than two years, and fans making fun of him for it. So, it’s about time one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC, Chandler, moves on to face a continuously deteriorating Conor McGregor.

At the age of 39, Michael Chandler does not have much time left, as he failed to win the coveted UFC title against Charles Oliveira in 2021. He has not found the same success he once had, given that he was already an aging fighter when he entered the UFC in 2020. However, there is still time for the Bellator standout to achieve great things in the UFC. He must act quickly before his time in the UFC and MMA as an athlete truly comes to an end.
